It s a new year and a new season, but the Penguins have the same goal - to win the Stanley Cup.
In order to do that, Penguins general manager Jim Rutherford spent the offseason retooling the roster, surrounding the core leadership group of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang with more youth, enthusiasm and speed. Rutherford also revamped the coaching staff and hockey operations department, adding new and fresh perspectives.
Now that the 2020-21 season is officially set to begin, PittsburghPenguins.com takes a look at the team s forwards in the first of a three-part organizational breakdown and refresher.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have invited 40 players to their 2020-21 training camp, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
The training camp roster built by Rutherford and his staff includes 23 forwards, 13 defensemen and four goaltenders. Training camp opens on Sunday, January 3 at PPG Paints Arena. To view the training camp roster, click here.
