Thornbury Pier Project Delayed As COVID-19 Precaution

Last Updated: Apr 26, 2021 1:33 PM The Thornbury Pier Resurfacing Project has been delayed. The Town of the Blue Mountains says this comes as a result of the required measures to be taken related to COVID-19. The Town says on Tuesday, April 20th, it was informed by Brook Restoration Ltd. the crew working on the project have been identified as close contacts to an individual that tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, and in accordance with public health protocols, the construction site has been temporarily shut down. The Town says it has confirmed the contractors worked exclusively within the fenced construction site and it is believed they did not have any interactions outside their crew.

Pete’s Auto Body; because we care about our community…… I was happy, surprised, a little nostalgic and a little bit sad last Wednesday when I went to Hanover for my COVID-19 vaccination shot at the P & H Centre. Happy to get the shot, and again I want to say how highly impressed I was with the Grey Bruce Public Health Unit. The entire process was smooth, courteous, extremely professional and the added peace of mind from being jabbed with the Pfizer vaccine cannot be understated. I hadn’t been to Hanover since September of 2019 and I found it remarkable as I came in from the North end of the town and saw how significant the changes have been over a year and a half.
