A #1 contender’s match has been announced for tonight’s WWE NXT “Takeover: Stand and Deliver” Night Two Kickoff pre-show.
The match will see Killian Dain and Drake Maverick battle Breezango’s Tyler Breeze and Fandango.
The winners will become the new #1 contenders to new NXT Tag Team Champion MSK for a future title shot. MSK won the vacant titles at Takeover Night One last night by winning a Triple Threat over The Grizzled Young Veterans and Legado del Fantasma.

NXT Women s Tag Team Champions Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon vs. The Way s Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell
This is fine, I guess. Against all odds, The Way have endeared themselves to me.except Austin Theory. He’s real bad! Seemingly every week, LeRae adds bigger wings to her entrance gear and I’m fully expecting her to actually fly to the ring come SummerSlam. She’s a perfect partner for someone like Hartwell who is clearly talented but still very green in the ring. You can see her getting more and more comfortable by the week and that’s not a coincidence. Being paired with someone as talented and experienced as LeRae will do wonders for her career. (Can we please give her a title at some point soon?)

Wade Barrett welcomes us to the WWE NXT “Takeover: Stand and Deliver” Global Press Conference. We see NXT Champion Finn Balor, NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai, NXT UK Champion WALTER, NXT Cruiserweight Champions Santos Escobar and Jordan Devlin, Karrion Kross, Raquel Gonzalez, Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Tommaso Ciampa sitting at a table while Barrett is at the podium. The questions have been taken from journalists ahead of time.
Cole is asked about respecting O’Reilly when it comes to his in-ring work. Cole praises O’Reilly and says it’s a shame he’s turned into such an idiot. Balor is asked about how he and Kross have both lost titles due to injuries. Balor says they do have some similarities but Kross is the one who has to prove himself at Takeover. A new match and appearances have been announced for the upcoming WWE NXT UK Prelude special during WrestleMania 37 Week.
It was announced during today’s NXT UK show that Meiko Satomura and Emilia McKenzie will team up to face NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray and Isla Dawn at Prelude.
Emilia is the new WWE ring name for 20 year old Millie McKenzie. It was reported back in February that WWE had signed McKenzie, and that they had high hopes for her with plans for a run at the top of the women’s division. She worked a few matches for the brand in 2018, but now she’s returned. Today’s NXT UK show saw McKenzie interrupt a KLR promo with a message about how she’s back from traveling and training, and is ready to beat the best. McKenzie promised that their paths will cross soon, and that led to Dawn running out for an attack. Dawn and KLR were about to double team McKenzie until Satomura made the save, taking both of the heels out. The tag match was late
