The Fiji Red Cross Society and Sai Prema Foundation Fiji signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in order to achieve the vision, goals and objectives the two organisations share.
The broad vision of formalising this partnership is to develop greater cooperation, understanding, strategic alliance, and partnership with the goal of serving and making a difference to the underprivileged and needy people of Fiji through a number of projects and initiatives.
The agreement is focussed primarily on four common areas whereby Sai Prema Foundation and the Fiji Red Cross will collaborate to create greater awareness about the symptoms of Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) and the treatments available at the soon-to-be-opened Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Heart Hospital in Fiji.

Children with special needs from various institutions in the country were hosted to a Christmas party by the Sai Prema Foundation Fiji at the Vodafone Arena in Suva on Saturday.
Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Fiji director Dr Krupali Rathod Tappoo said the event was part of their ongoing “Children of God” project.
“We have been looking after the needs of the needy children for the past years and we’ve had children of most of these institutions come for medical check-ups at our medical centre,” she said.
