A Stuff visual journalist witnessed the incident, describing Skinner s action as a “shoulder charge”. Another witness described it as a “quite nasty shove of the woman, who was reportedly “shaky and quite upset” following the incident.

Extinction Rebellion protestors blocked entrances at Civic House on Thursday morning to protest the NCC s use of glysophate. Nelson Bays Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Johnston confirmed the police were following up the incident. “We have this afternoon [Friday] recorded a complaint,” he said. Skinner had not been informed, but police would contact him next week, Johnston said. Nelson Mayor Rachel Reese said she could not comment on the situation if there was a possibility of a police investigation.
It was undertaking a review of the incident and remained in close contact with the person’s family. Disability Support Services provides residential support for around 200 people across Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough, in more than 50 suburban homes. The homes range from one-bedroom flats to six bedroom homes and are either owned by Nelson Marlborough Health, Housing NZ or private landlords. Nelson Bays Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Johnston said police were still investigating the incident, where the resident of a care home had been run over in a driveway. A WorkSafe spokeswoman confirmed it was also investigating the incident. Kinsey said the health board was not able to comment further given those inquiries, however it was working closely with them to support their processes.
