Command Sgt. Maj. Jill Crosby relinquished responsibility as the senior enlisted adviser in Army Contracting Command to Command Sgt. Maj. Julie Saorrono in a change of responsibility ceremony May 3 at Bob Jones Auditorium.
ACC Commander Maj. Gen. Paul Pardew, who presided over the ceremony, praised both senior NCOs, describing how their hard work ethic contributed making the ACC enterprise what it is today.
âBoth are perfect examples of the professional noncommissioned officer and the backbone of our Army,â Pardew said.
âShe is the best NCO I have served with in my 32 years. She made a positive impact on ACC every day,â he said of Crosby.

On 22 March 2021, Sergeant Major of the Army, Michael A. Grinston, formally announced the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT ) 3.0. This adaptation of the ACFT came into effect on 1 April 2021. It includes six events (Three-Repetition Maximum Deadlift, Standing PowerThrow, Hand-Release Push-Ups, Sprint-Drag-Carry, Leg Tuck or Plank, and Two-Mile Run). Its one significant change is that it adds the Plank as a full 100-point.
