Kilkenny drugs charge accused remanded in custody Reporter:   ); A Kilkenny man who is charged with having drugs for sale or supply when he came to garda attention last Saturday, was remanded in custody and his case adjourned by the local district court, this week. Patrick Rowe, 11 Parnell Street, Kilkenny, is charged with having illegal possession of drugs and with having drugs for sale or supply at Troyswood, Freshford Road, Kilkenny, on April 30 last.  Mr Rowe is also charged with illegal possession of drugs at 11 Parnell Street on August 7, 2020. He faces charges of being in possession of drugs and with having drugs for sale or supply at James’s Green, Kilkenny, on August 22, 2020.

Evidence was heard that Daniel Harty, 29 College Park, Callan Road, Kilkenny, was charged with careless driving and obstructing or impeding gardaí who were seizing a vehicle, following the incident on August 28, 2019. Sergeant Morgan O’Connor said gardaí were on mobile patrol at Hebron Road, at 12 noon, when they stopped a car that was being driven by an unaccompanied learner driver.

Georgina O’Mahoney, 3 Kickham Place, Mullinahone, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft. Sergeant Morgan O’Connor said that on March 9, 2019, Ms O’Mahoney pulled in to the Applegreen filling station in Paulstown, put €30.06 in fuel into her car and drove off without paying. On the same day she took a carton of milk from a shop and left without paying. The defendant had 47 previous convictions, the court heard.
