Forty-four people received an antibody treatment instead of Moderna s coronavirus vaccine in an error Wednesday at a vaccination clinic in Boone County, W.Va. The West Virginia National Guard, which announced the error Thursday, said medical experts advising the state s covid-19 response do not believe there is any risk of harm to the people. The Guard s statement indicated 42 residents were affected, though county officials said the number was actually 44.
CAMC among those prioritizing COVID-19 vaccinations By

CHARLESTON, W.Va. West Virginia has prioritized who the first are to receive the new vaccinations for COVID-19.
Initially the shots were planned for front line healthcare workers and staff and patients in West Virginia nursing homes. At the Charleston Area Medical Center, they’ve had to further prioritize who will get the vaccinations due to the limited supply.
“Right now there’s not enough to go around for everyone, so we are prioritizing and offering it to groups in phases,” said Dale Witte, spokesman for CAMC.

PRINCETON â West Virginia University will be providing management services for Princeton Community Hospital.
The PCH Board of Directors approved and executed an agreement Thursday evening during its meeting at the Chuck Mathena Center.
The agreement said West Virginia University Hospital Inc. will assist PCH in âday-to-dayâ operations and explore opportunities for more integrated services.
Other parts of the agreement that were approved included a collaborative clinical relationship, a business association agreement and the use of the WVU trademark.
Board Chair Rusty Sarver said he wanted to note that all votes on the agreements were unanimous.
More details of the agreement are expected to be released today.
