CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - As the pandemic continues, the impact on children across the country continues to increase.
âYounger kiddos maybe are less impacted from a social standpoint, because you know theyâre not necessarily entering this stage of trying to be more independent and autonomous so thatâs where the teenagers are really struggling where theyâre supposed to be pulling away from parents and individuating and finding their way, with their peers and theyâve had less of that,â said Juliet Kuehnle, therapist at Sun Counseling and Wellness.
Not everyone is deciding to go back in-person. Close to 43 percent of CMS families opted for their child to learn at home, through the full remote academy.
