CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The fight for high school athletics continues in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School district.
A petition signed by parents and students is asking that the school board allow swimmers to finish their season. It has gained more than 3,000 signatures in just two days.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Board of Education voted on Thursday to keep all learning virtual until at least February 12.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The Myers Park Mustangs men’s basketball team played their first game of the 2020-2021 season Wednesday night. It now appears it may end up being one of the team’s only games this season.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Board of Education voted Thursday to keep all learning virtual until at least February 12. The district also announced that all athletic activity would be paused until at least February 15.
