The Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office has reviewed the case and concurred with the detectives’ decision not to charge anyone in this case.  Read below for more details on the shooting. Update (9/7/20): Charlotte police say the man that was found dead after a welfare check early Sunday morning in northwest Charlotte has been identified. According to CMPD, the deceased victim in this case has been identified as 45-year-old Oldin Jacinto Diaz Lainez. There is no update on the second victim in the case who reportedly has non-life threatening injures.
