National Horse Day is an initiative put on by Equestrian Canada and the provincial / territorial equestrian organizations. This year will mark the 13th anniversary of Horse Day, which was created to raise public awareness and promote the beloved horse. Across the country, events and celebrations will take place on June 5 to allow Canadians of all ages and experience levels to honour, discover and explore the equestrian world! Qualifiers are taking place at five racetracks on Saturday, June 5, with Charlottetown Driving Park and Exhibition Park Raceway hosting live cards of harness racing. To celebrate Canada’s National Horse Day, Standardbred Canada is running a “Meet My Horse” Photo Contest on our Facebook page.
