Gov Makinde Bans Movement During Environmental Sanitation In Oyo

  There would be total restriction of human and vehicular movements during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise holding on Saturday in Oyo State. This was contained in a statement signed and made available to newsmen by the Commissioner, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Dr. Abdulateef Oyeleke. The statement, which indicated that the exercise would hold between 6am and 9am on Saturday, said it will not affect those on essential duties, including health workers, journalists, and the law enforcement agents. It warned against the violation of the environmental sanitation law as deviants would face severe penalties. “There shall be total restriction of both vehicular and human movement except for those on essential duties,” it read partly.

Oyo government to enforce sanitation restriction order on Saturday

TODAY January 29, 2021 The Oyo State Government, will on Saturday enforce the restriction order between 6am and 9 am during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise. This is contained in a statement issued on Friday, by the State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Dr Idowu Oyeleke. According to the statement; vehicular and human movements except for those on essential duties will be restricted during the period. The commissioner, therefore, directed all the chairmen of local government and local council development areas to ensure compliance in their respective domains and ensure that citizens utilise the period to clean their surroundings. He directed also all directors of environmental health services in the 33 LGAs and 35 LCDAs in the state to monitor the exercise as a matter of duty.

Yuletide : FRSC assures of free traffic flow along Lagos/Ibadan Expressway

FRSC The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Thursday assured commuters and transporters that it would sustain the current free flow of traffic along the Ogun axis of the Lagos/Ibadan expressway. The Ogun Sector Commander of the corps, Mr Ahmed Umar, gave the assurance in Abeokuta in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). Umar, who said there had been substantial and noticeable improvement in the traffic situation along the Ogun corridor of the expressway, pledged that the FRSC would sustain this. He attributed the development to the recently inaugurated “Operation Zero Road Crashes” across the country by the corps.
