A football fan who hurled a lit flare at police officers during a Manchester United protest has been banned from attending games for three years.
Michael Anthony James Cusker, 28, was drunk when he threw the pyrotechnic item at officers close to The Lowry Hotel, in Salford, on May 2.
During the afternoon he blocked traffic along Chapel Street, shouted at drivers and clambered onto a passing lorry.
