Intelligent.com Announces Best Colleges In Rhode Island for 2021

Intelligent.com, a trusted resource for online degree rankings and higher education planning, has announced the Top 14 Colleges In Rhode Island for 2021. The comprehensive research guide is based on an assessment of 76 accredited colleges and universities in the nation. Each program is evaluated based on curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation, and post-graduate employment.
The 2021 rankings are calculated through a unique scoring system which includes student engagement, potential return on investment and leading third party evaluations. Intelligent.com analyzed 76 schools, on a scale of 0 to 100, with only 14 making it to the final list. The methodology also uses an algorithm which collects and analyzes multiple rankings into one score to easily compare each school.

Despite a restriction on outside visitors, Salve Regina University’s Dorrance H. Hamilton Gallery has a new exhibit on display: a series of 30 drawings depicting familiar Newport streets as they appeared during the early 20th century..
The drawings, drafted by lifetime Aquidneck Island resident John Howard Benson, were commissioned by The Newport Daily News for its annual calendar. The gallery walls display one drawing per year in chronological order, the main subject of each being a building in Newport. Some of the buildings depicted are long gone, while some are still-standing, such as White Horse Tavern and Newport Tower.
Lily Ouillette, daughter of Shawn and Julie Ouillette of Pittsfield, has been named to the deanâs list at Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I., for the fall 2020 semester. Ouillette is majoring in music education. She is a 2020 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Connor Blodgett of Great Barrington achieved deanâs list honors during the fall 2020 semester at Vermont Technical College where he is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in the computer engineering technology program. Deanâs list requires a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester.
Elizabeth Bona, a North Adams resident studying hospitality at Lasell University in Newton, recently earned a Problem-Solving Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification. Bona also shared a presentation on an original concept developed for a course on food and beverage management in hospitality called âTipsy Travelerâ at the Universityâs Fall Career Readiness Symposium in December 2020.
