Human trafficking sting in Anderson leads to 2 arrests

Multi-Agency Human Trafficking Operation Results in the Arrest of Two Suspected Pimps and Trafficker.
ANDERSON, Calif. – Anderson police said they made arrests on Saturday after they conducted an operation utilizing known prostitution websites to set up meetups so that they could bust pimps and sex traffickers at a local hotel.
Anderson Police said they asked other law enforcement agencies to assist in the operation targeting human sex traffickers with a focus on providing resources to suspected victims. Saturday at 5:00 p.m. the investigators saw two females arrive at the hotel for what they say was “the purpose of prostitution.”
A Redding man pled guilty five years in state prison and will be required to be registered as a lifetime sex offender, according to the Redding Police Department.
Shasta County sheriff s deputies arrested two people Thursday that law enforcement had been looking for, including one who is considered an armed and dangerous felon.
Deputies went to a residence on Snowbird Lane in Lakehead shortly before 9 a.m. to serve a civil order on Lucas David Childs, 37, who is on parole and wanted in connection to weapons charges, sheriff s officials said.
Childs was not at the Snowbird Lane residence, however, so they checked out an RV on nearby Big Oak Lane, where Childs also was reportedly staying, officials said.
As deputies approached the trailer, they contacted Camren James Taylor, 25, of Anderson, who saw the deputies and began to run away. Officials said that Taylor stopped running after he heard the deputies order him to stop and K-9 Fritz start barking at him.
Million dollar bond for woman charged with murdering ex-husband
A Redding woman accused of stabbing her ex-husband to death has been charged with murder, according to the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office.

REDDING, Calif. – A woman accused of killing her ex-husband has been charged with murder and currently has a bail set at $1 million, according to the Shasta County District Attorney.
54-year-old Annastacia “Stacia” Colosio of Redding was arrested Friday, Feb. 5 after being released from a hospital due to a wound to her right leg, according to the County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit.

The woman fatally shot in Sunday’s officer-involved shooting in Redding was identified Tuesday afternoon. Three Redding police officers shot and killed 27-year-old Brooke Blair of Redding. Investigators say those officers opened fire when Blair pulled a handgun on officers. However, it turned out that the gun was fake. Redding police along with the Shasta County District Attorney s Office are investigating.
