A 15-acre fire caused people to evacuate in Cottonwood Monday afternoon.

COTTONWOOD, Calif. - CAL FIRE said they have stopped the forward progress of the fire and crews will remain on scene for the next several hours to mop up.
All evacuation and road closures have been lifted, according to the Shasta County Sheriff s Office.
The 15-acre fire was in the area of Creekside Dr. and Gas Point Road, Shasta County Sheriff s Office said.
Deputies issued evacuations for people in a half-mile area radius of Creekside Dr. They said an evacuation center was going to being set up but has not opened as residents should be able to return home Monday.
