A crash south of Mason City on Friday blocked a busy highway.

MASON CITY, Iowa - One person was hospitalized Friday after a two-vehicle collision south of Mason City on Highway 65.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office said a vehicle driven by Louis Broom 29, of Mason City, was southbound when it crossed the center lane and struck a vehicle driven by Amy Wike, 41, of Rockwell.
Broom was taken to MercyOne North Iowa with non-life-threatening injuries.
Wike and a 14-year-old passenger declined transport.
The accident remains under investigation.

MASON CITY, Iowa – A Tuesday traffic stop leads to a multi-agency search and three arrests.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office says it stopped Angela Marie Rasmussen, 42 of Mason City, driving in a stolen car after leaving a home in the 300 block of 24th Street SW in Mason City just before 3:30 pm. That led to a search warrant being issued for the home and the arrest of two men, Rusty Lewis Kopps, 32 of Mason City, and Mark Edward Torres, 46 of Mason City.

(ABC 6 News) - A traffic stop in Mason City leads to a multi-agency drug search and three arrested.
According to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, Angela Marie Rasmussen, 42 of Mason City, was stopped driving a stolen car after leaving a home in the 300 block of 24th Street SW in Mason City.
Rasmussen was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent, possession of methamphetamine, driving under suspension, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A search warrant was executed at the home and two men were arrested, Rusty Lewis Kopps, 32 of Mason City, on a parole violation. and Mark Edward Torres, 46 of Mason City is facing charges of possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

MASON CITY, Iowa - Two wanted men were taken into custody Friday night after a short pursuit in a Mason City neighborhood.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office said it attempted to stop a vehicle for fraudulent use of registration at 8:08 p.m. at the intersection of 7th St. NE and N. Pennsylvania Ave. The vehicle led authorities on a short pursuit in an alley before the driver, Joshua Teeter, 23, of Mason City, fled on foot.
