This was confirmed by the ATH Group in a market announcement through the South Pacific Exchange (SPX) which highlighted her capabilities through their roles in other organisations. Ms Lal was the head of unit, administration and finance at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Pacific operations and a fellow of CPA Australia, holding a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of the South Pacific in Accounting, Financial Management and information systems and having completed Fiji Directors course with AICD.

Datuk Seri Akhbar Satar, who holds the professorial chair at Institute of Crime and Criminology, HELP University, said the decline in terms of ratings clearly reflects the weakness of political will and anti-corruption efforts to address this problem. “High-profile corruption cases and economic crimes that include rampant smuggling activities also worsen the perception that there is a high level of corruption in the public sector in the country,“ he said in a statement here today.

Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Oman Chapter nominates new office bearers By: Times News Service Muscat: The Association of Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Oman Chapter announced that Jose Chacko, Partner -Forensic Technology Services of Crowe Oman has taken over as the President of the Chapter. Jose has taken over as the president after serving ACFE Oman as the Vice President for five years. The newly elected officers took over from the present board from January 1, 2021. Fathiya Al Maskari of EY has been elected as the Training Director for the Chapter.  The other board members are Khalil Al Rawahi as the vice president, Somya Sreedharan as Secretary. Kevin D Souza as Treasurer, Salim Mushrafi as the Membership Director and Murad Al Balushi as Director at Large.
