Construction is kicking off on a long-awaited Farmers Branch restaurant and retail development.
Centurion American Development Group is building the waterfront project in its Mercer Crossing project on LBJ Freeway near Luna Road.
The Mercer Crossing Boardwalk is planned to have more than 60,000 square feet of construction, including a namesake boardwalk along the lake.
“We’re excited to break ground on this piece of Mercer Crossing, which will be a great addition to the dining and retail landscape in Farmers Branch,” Mehrdad Moayedi, president and CEO of Centurion American, said in a statement.

Developers of the $1 billion Collin Creek mall redo are making changes in the Plano mixed-use project.
With the departure of J.C. Penney from the project, Centurion American Development Group has redesigned part of the 100-plus-acre project on U.S. Highway 75.
The department store building will be replaced with 98 townhomes under a plan approved Monday by Plano’s City Council.

One of North Texas’ major developers has purchased a huge ranch southeast of Dallas for a residential community with as many as 4,000 homes.
Centurion American Development Group – which has dozens of commercial and residential projects across the state – bought the Cartwright Ranch on U.S. Highway 175 in Kaufman County. It’s one of the largest residential land transactions in Dallas-Fort Worth in 2020.
