The Berardo Collection Museum, in Lisbon, occupies the 72nd place in the list of the 100 most visited museums in the world in 2020, with 317 thousand visitors, according to The Art Newspaper.
According to the list of the international publication specializing in contemporary art, the Berardo Museum, located in Belém, is again, the only Portuguese museum to enter this list of the 100 most visited ones in the world in 2020, led by the Louvre Museum, in Paris, with 2.7 million entries.

RIYADH Riyadh Art continues to transform the city into a gallery without walls with the launch of its second initiative Tuwaiq International Sculpture Symposium (TISS).
The 22-day Symposium (Nov. 10 – Dec. 6) will bring together 20 international and Saudi artists to create public sculptures in a live setting. The theme for TISS 2021 is “The Poetics of Space,” exploring the connections between matter and emptiness, light and shadow.

Visitor numbers at the world’s top 100 museums and art galleries plunged by 77 percent last year, down from 230 million in 2019 to just 54 million as the COVID-19 pandemic forced closure on an unprecedented scale.
The survey carried out annually by the Art Newspaper for more than 20 years is normally an upbeat one, highlighting which museums had good years and what the most popular exhibitions were, whether in London, New York or Sao Paulo.
