Weapons charges dropped against Oak Brook man; guns to be destroyed   Updated 5/13/2021 4:04 PM Weapons charges against an Oak Brook man were dropped Thursday on the condition that his guns be destroyed. Frank Pruss, of the 0-100 block of Windsor Drive, was charged in December with seven counts of possessing guns, including semi-automatic rifles, without having a Firearm Owners Identification card.   According to DuPage County court documents filed by Illinois State Police, Pruss on Sept. 27 was in possession of a Ruger 10/22, Windham Weaponry WW15, Century Arms RAS47 and Anderson AM15 semi-automatic rifles, a Remington 870 Tactical shotgun, and CZ 75B and Glock 22 GEN4 semi-automatic pistols. The Windham, Anderson and Century Arms are 30-round-capacity weapons.

Norfolk pair faces weapons, drug charges

May 10, 2021 A Norfolk, Va. duo face charges after police say several weapons and drugs were found in their vehicle May 8 during a Georgetown traffic stop. Shantai Lancaster, 26, was driving an Acura MDX at 11:39 a.m. in the area of DuPont Boulevard and South Bedford Street with passenger Kyanna Stevens, 21, when police pulled them over for illegal tinting on all the windows including the windshield, said Cpl. Jason Hatchell of the Delaware State Police. Upon contacting the driver, Hatchell said, Lancaster did not have a valid driver’s license. Police also detected an odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle, and found four guns during a probable cause search. Police found a Glock 48 9mm, a Glock Bodyguard .380-caliber, a Century Arms Inc. .380-caliber, and a Century Arms Inc. Georgia Draco Nark 9mm. Police also found about 20 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms, about 82 grams of marijuana, and more than $1,500 in suspected drug proceeds.
