USA TODAY Network A 28-year-old Century man faces a sentence of up to life in prison after he was convicted this week of dragging a teenager into the woods in Century and raping her in August 2019. An Escambia County jury on Tuesday convicted Nakeetric Devonte Davison of kidnapping, sexual battery using threats of force or violence, attempted sexual battery, trespassing and criminal mischief. Davison faces up to life in prison at his sentencing May 20, according to a news release from State Attorney Ginger Bowden Madden s office. He will also be designated as a sexual predator. On Aug. 21, 2019, Davison approached a 16-year-old girl as she was walking along Century Boulevard on her way to the library, according to authorities.
