Real estate firms plotting a major redevelopment just south of downtown Dallas plan to construct an innovation center, more residences and eateries in the project.
Called SoGood, the more-than-15-acre mixed-use project is in the works along South Good-Latimer Expressway and Cesar Chavez Boulevard just south of Interstate 30.
It’s a development of Dallas-based Hoque Global. The developer recently announced the first phase of the development a 266-unit apartment community to be built by Dallas’ Corsair Ventures.

More than three years after making a first investment in the neighborhood, businessman Mike Hoque is ready to kick off one of the most ambitious redevelopment projects in Dallas.
Construction is set to start on the first phase of the SoGood mixed-use development along South Good Latimer Expressway and Cesar Chavez Boulevard just south of downtown.

Corsair Ventures is planning a 266-unit rental community on Cesar Chavez Boulevard south of Interstate 30.
The apartment project is in a 15-plus-acre development between Good-Latimer Expressway and Cesar Chavez, about four blocks south of downtown. The site is next to the Cedars neighborhood.
Dallas’ Hoque Global has been working on plans for the mixed-use development it calls SoGood for more than two years. The project includes redevelopment of the former Pilgrim’s Pride chicken plant on Cesar Chavez, which closed in 2011.
