Flight delays and cancellations are increasing as residents brace for blankets of snow and blizzard-like conditions over the next few days. By 9:30 a.m. ET, about 1,535 flights in, out and across the United States had been canceled, according to FlightAware, which tracks worldwide flight traffic data in real-time. Meanwhile, more than 200 flights have already been delayed, according to the data.

More Than 200 Flights Canceled at Chicago Airports Due to Snow Storm

According to the Chicago Department of Aviation, at least 190 flights have been canceled at O’Hare International Airport as of 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The flights that are taking off are doing so an average of 23 minutes late, according to the CDA. At Midway, at least 70 flights have been canceled due to the inclement weather, the department says.
