9 & 10 News USPS Seeking to Fill 150 Open Positions July 15, 2021 You can add the U.S. Postal Service to the list of places that are now hiring. The post office in Traverse City held a roadside job fair on Thursday. They have 150 positions to fill, both part-time and full-time. They’re looking for mail carriers, mail handlers, drivers, and customer service positions. Starting pay ranges from $16.87 per hour up to $18.49 per hour. And the postal service says it’s a career with upward mobility where you can try many different positions. Workforce Planning Specialist LeLonna Landis says, “You’re never stagnant. If you want to go to a different office, you want to go to a different position, you want to work in management. There’s always an option, there’s an avenue for every position you want.”
