Information Technology stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 410.88 points or 1.59% at 26274.38 at 09:48 IST. Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Majesco Ltd (up 4.99%), 3i Infotech Ltd (up 4.98%),Wipro Ltd (up 2.8%),Tanla Platforms Ltd (up 2.69%),Mastek Ltd (up 2.66%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were D-Link India Ltd (up 2.35%), Tech Mahindra Ltd (up 2.2%), NELCO Ltd (up 2.17%), Infosys Ltd (up 2.16%), and Cigniti Technologies Ltd (up 2.12%). On the other hand, TVS Electronics Ltd (down 3.47%), Brightcom Group Ltd (down 3.21%), and Indiamart Intermesh Ltd (down 1.84%) moved lower.
At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 95.88 or 0.19% at 51627.4.

Among the other gainers were Sonata Software Ltd (up 3.16%), Zensar Technologies Ltd (up 3.15%), Ramco Systems Ltd (up 3.08%), Birlasoft Ltd (up 2.78%), and Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd (up 2.77%). On the other hand, TVS Electronics Ltd (down 1.41%), Cigniti Technologies Ltd (down 0.9%), and AXISCADES Technologies Ltd (down 0.66%) moved lower.

Hyderabad, Jan 30 : Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), the collaborative body between Cyberabad police and information technology industry, plans to set up a centre of excellence in cyber security.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar said since cyber security is going to be the focus area in view of the threats, a centre of excellence is proposed in Cyberabad commissionerate limits.
A programme organised to celebrate 15 years of SCSC was attended Home Minister Mahmood Ali, Director General of Police (DGP) Mahender Reddy, principal secretary, IT, Jayesh Ranjan, police commissioners of Cyberabad, Hyderabad and Rachakonda and representatives of IT industry.
Information Technology stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index decreasing 443.66 points or 1.74% at 25007.43 at 13:48 IST. Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Nucleus Software Exports Ltd (down 5%), Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd (down 4.47%),Cigniti Technologies Ltd (down 4.43%),3i Infotech Ltd (down 2.43%),Mindtree Ltd (down 2.31%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Cyient Ltd (down 2.21%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (down 2.19%), Mphasis Ltd (down 2.03%), Infosys Ltd (down 1.92%), and Wipro Ltd (down 1.74%). On the other hand, Aptech Ltd (up 5.99%), KPIT Technologies Ltd (up 5.72%), and Majesco Ltd (up 4.96%) turned up.
At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 211.97 or 0.45% at 46662.39.
