L entreprise américaine a aussi promis de prolonger l entente conclue avec la Société générale de financement du Québec pour produire des films au Québec.
Icahn, qui détient déjà une participation de 19 pour cent dans Lions Gate, est impliqué depuis mars dans une querelle pour en prendre le contrôle.
Lions Gate a vu le jour au Canada et conserve un siège social à Vancouver, mais ses activités se déroulent essentiellement depuis Santa Monica, en Californie.
