July 22, 2021 SINGAPORE (CNA) – Singapore reported 179 new locally transmitted COVID-19 infections as of noon yesterday, with 130 cases linked to the Jurong Fishery Port cluster and eight belonging to the KTV lounges cluster. The are now 451 cases linked to the Jurong Fishery Port/Hong Lim Market and Food Centre cluster, making it the largest active cluster in the country. A total of 215 cases have been linked to the KTV cluster. Among the new cases announced yesterday, 149 are linked to previous infections, with 80 already placed in quarantine and 69 detected through surveillance testing. The remaining 30 infections were not linked to previous cases, said the Singapore’s Ministry of Health in its preliminary daily update.

The new infections included 182 locally transmitted cases, of which 142 were linked to the Jurong Fishery Port cluster and 14 belonged to the KTV cluster, the Xinhua news agency reported. Of the new local cases, 81 were linked to previous cases and have already been placed on quarantine, while 75 were linked to previous cases and were detected through surveillance. Another 26 were currently unlinked. There were 13 imported cases, who have already been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore. Six were detected upon arrival in Singapore, while seven developed the illness during SHN or isolation.
