Singapore, May 19, (ANI): Singapore s Ministry of Health (MOH) on Tuesday said that there is no truth in the references in reports in a section of Indian media about the presence of a new variant of coronavirus in the country, adding that there is no Singapore variant .
It said that the strain that is prevalent in many of the COVID-19 cases in recent weeks is the B.1.617.2 variant, which originated in India.
A statement by Singapore s Ministry of Health (MOH) referred to media reports in a section of media citing remarks of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The government of Singapore is providing free hospitalization to Filipinos with valid permits to stay, Philippine Ambassador Jose Yap said Tuesday.
Currently, Yap said only 35 out of the 578 confirmed cases among Filipinos are confined at isolation wards in hospitals while the rest have fully recovered with zero fatality.
