SINGAPORE: Malaysian cargo drivers who have been vaccinated in Singapore may use vaccination cards issued to them, along with the TraceTogether (TT) token or app, as verification for their vaccination status at the Causeway.
These will allow them to skip on-arrival testing, said Singapore s Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) on Friday (Apr 16).

Singapore’s Ministry of Health has issued orders requiring correction to several Facebook posts and an article over what the government says are false or unsubstantiated claims about side effects from Covid-19 vaccines.
The directives were issued to opposition politician Goh Meng Seng and alternative news site Singapore Uncensored for alleging that vaccine side effects had caused or contributed to a doctor’s stroke and the death of an 81-year-old man. These allegations are false. As of 14 April 2021, there is no credible evidence for an increased risk of heart attack or stroke with the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna Inc COVID-19 vaccines which are currently approved and offered in Singapore” the ministry said in a statement.
The committee will address issues around accessibility, transparency and claims processing in health insurance
Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) has appointed a 12-member Multilateral Healthcare Insurance Committee (MHIC), due to be officially established from 27 April 2021, to provide a platform for healthcare providers, payers, consumer representatives and the government to jointly address issues related to health insurance.
Comprising representatives from the Academy of Medicine Singapore (AMS), Consumer Association of Singapore (CASE), Fee Benchmarks Advisory Committee (FBAC), Life Insurance Association (LIA), Singapore Medical Association (SMA) and private hospitals, the MHIC will provide a platform for doctors, insurer, hospitals and the MOH to work together with the goal of enhancing Singapore’s health insurance system, promoting quality, safety, and affordability for Singaporeans.
