Thai man suspected of immolating himself after bid to reconcile with wife fails

The Nation/Asia News Network Police in Lampang province found the charred body of a man in a burning house, in a suspected case of self-immolation. Ngao Police Station was alerted on Monday to the fire at a house in Ban Mai Jaroen Suk village in Luang Tai subdistrict of Ngao district. Firefighters took around 10 minutes to put out the flames in the wooden two-storey house. Police found the charred body of Sawas Wikaha, aged 59 years, a farmer and owner of the house in the damaged house. Police contacted his wife who reportedly said that they had separated for about four months. Sawas reportedly went to her and asked to get back together before the incident, but she refused.

Teen crashes through walkway shelter after falling from Tampines block

December 28, 2020 Shin Min Daily News Residents along Tampines Street 12 heard an argument go on for five minutes before they saw a teen crashing through a walkway shelter. An ambulance and the police were immediately called. According to an eyewitness, the injured teen could still nod as the paramedics examined him. The police told AsiaOne he was conveyed conscious to Changi General Hospital. Photos showed a large hole in the walkway shelter from where the teen had fallen through, as well as rubble that was scattered around the area. The teen is believed to have jumped after his girlfriend broke up with him.

Principal suspected of jumping to his death from Bangkok school building

Thungsonghong Police Station were informed about the incident at 15 minutes past midnight on Friday. At the scene they found the body of Yutthanan Srichumphu, the school’s principal, lying on the ground with a wound at his head. Police said they found a letter on his body addressed to his family and colleagues, saying he was sorry for ending his life as he could no longer fight the depression he was suffering from.

December 18, 2020 The Straits Times A man was referred to the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office by the Metropolitan Police Department on Thursday (Dec 18) on charges of criminal insult for allegedly posting abusive messages on social media directed at professional wrestler Hana Kimura, who committed suicide in May aged 22. Kimura had been a cast member on the reality show Terrace House that aired on Fuji Television. According to the police, an Osaka Prefecture resident in his 20s is suspected of posting abusive messages directed at Kimura on Twitter around mid-May, including comments, such as Hey, when will you die? and Is your life worth living?
