The woman who dashed into the fiery car wreck in Tanjong Pagar, in an attempt to save her boyfriend and their four friends, is out of intensive care, said Singapore General Hospital (SGH) yesterday.
Ms Raybe Oh Siew Huey, 26, is currently in a high dependency ward and is stable and conscious, the hospital added.
The former Singapore Airlines air stewardess sustained burns on 80 per cent of her body and had been fighting for her life since the accident on Feb 13, the second day of Chinese New Year.
The crash resulted in five deaths and one injury.
Oh is a former Singapore Airlines stewardess, and is the girlfriend of Long, who was driving the BMW on the fated day.
She is also a getai singer.
In a 2013 interview with
ST, she said that she was doing getai to pay for her school fees, and reduce the burden on her father.
According to Chinese media, the couple had applied for a BTO flat recently.
Akira Chan, 21, who is a friend of the group, told
ST that Oh was trying to save her fiance, and had injured herself while trying to open the door.

Raybe Oh Siew Huey, 26, is in a high dependency ward and is conscious, said SGH. The Straits Times understands that her family is with her. She has been fighting for her life since the accident on Saturday (Feb 13).
Her boyfriend, Jonathan Long, was driving the white BMW which slammed into a Tanjong Pagar shophouse at around 5.40am.
The 29-year-old was killed along with four others in the car - Mr Eugene Yap, 29; Mr Elvin Tan Yong Hao, 28; Mr Wilson Teo Qi Xiang, 26; and Mr Gary Wong Hong Chieh, 29.
