Malaysia, Singapore set up joint committee to discuss air travel

PUTRAJAYA (April 5): A joint committee between Malaysia and Singapore has been set up to discuss air travel, as both countries are looking for ways to restore cross-border travel after the movement restriction due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Malaysia s Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said the committee was headed by Transport Ministry secretary-general Datuk Isham Ishak and Singapore s Transport Ministry permanent secretary Loh Ngai Seng. They are discussing how to expedite the process, protocols and necessary certification, for instance, the vaccine passport or any kind of documents accepted by both countries, he told reporters after a briefing on the development of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project here today.
