SINGAPORE: Countries should work together to develop a robust system to verify the authenticity of COVID-19 tests and vaccinations, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said on Friday in a special address to the World Economic Forum (WEF) Davos Agenda 2021.
More than 1,500 business, government and civil society leaders from over 70 countries took part in the week-long Davos Agenda discussions ending on Friday, which will feed into WEF special annual meetingin May.

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong received his second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine at Singapore General Hospital today.
“With that, I have completed the full vaccination regimen,” Lee wrote on Facebook with a video of him receiving the jab.

Global foreign direct investment (FDI) plunged by 42 percent in 2020 while China bucked the trend by becoming the world’s top recipient of investment flows.
“A return to positive gross domestic product growth and the government’s targeted investment facilitation program helped stabilize investment after the early lockdown,” said James Zhan, UNCTAD’s director of investment and enterprise.

SINGAPORE: The Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link moved a step closer to reality as work on the Singapore station of the rail link began on Friday (Jan 22).
The RTS Link Woodlands North station would be constructed underground at a maximum depth of 28m, with an underground link to the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) building, said the Land Transport Authority (LTA).
