Dell Technologies launches Global Innovation Hub in Singapore, creating more than 160 jobs Details Published: 23 February 2021 The GIH will focus on advancing multiple growth areas for digital transformation including augmented/mixed reality, data analytics, and cloud-native. It is also home to a specialised team responsible for enhancing user experiences through innovation. Dell Technologies on Monday (22 February 2021) announced the establishment of a Global Innovation Hub (GIH) in Singapore, which will amount to a total investment of US$50mn (approx. S$66mn) over three years since 2019. Of this, US$23mn (approx. S$30mn) will be invested this year. The launch of the Hub was officiated by Minister for Trade and Industry, Chan Chun Sing (pictured above), in an event on the same day.

Like all Singapore workers, her contribution is required by law. So is an additional 17 percent contribution from her employer. The savings account, called the Central Provident Fund, is meant to help Singaporeans pay for healthcare, retirement, and housing. When workers like Phang want to buy a house, the CPF typically covers both the down payment and the monthly mortgage. Because the Singapore government also builds most of the housing in the city, homes also tend to be priced at levels that typical workers can afford.
