Snow Goose Conservation Order
The Snow Goose Conservation Order is open Monday, Feb. 1, through Friday, Feb. 5, closing for the youth waterfowl hunting day on Saturday, Feb. 6, and reopening on Monday, Feb. 8 through Friday, April 9, excluding Sundays. Note the printed 2020/2021 Delaware Hunting & Trapping Guide incorrectly indicates the Snow Goose Conservation Order is open Saturday, Feb 6. The Conservation Order is closed Saturday, Feb. 6, with the regular snow goose hunting season reopening for one day when regular snow goose season bag limits and hunting regulations apply.

Runaway dog reunited with survivor of fatal Christmas Eve crash
A dog that ran away after surviving a hit-and-run crash that killed one of its owners on Christmas Eve has been found.
Sammi, a black Lab mix, has been reunited with Norman Shtab, 83, who lost his 81-year-old wife Phyllis in the crash on Cedar Swamp Road.
Shtab had been turning from the Route 195 off ramp when their Mercedes was struck by a Silverado that police say was driven by Roberto Alcazar-Sanchez. The driver of the other car ran away from the scene and has not been arrested.
Phyllis Shtab died Saturday at Jersey Shore University Medical Center while Norman Shtab was released.
