Cedar Fair names Seenu Sarma as chief procurement officer

Amusement park operator Cedar Fair Entertainment Co. (NYSE: FUN) of Sandusky said it has added Seenu Sarma to its executive team as senior vice president and chief procurement officer.
The company announced Sarma s hiring in a news release on Monday, March 1.
Richard A. Zimmerman, Cedar Fair s president and CEO, said in a statement that Sarma has been brought to the company to lead a transformational initiative to centralize procurement activities across our entire portfolio of entertainment properties.
He said Sarma s arrival at Cedar Fair coincides with our broader initiative aimed at optimizing the efficiency and cost structure of our business infrastructure. Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom plans to hire thousands of seasonal workers for its 200-acre theme park.
The park in 2018 began hiring more than 3,000 seasonal employees for each season. As a result, Dorney Park has become one of the largest employers in the Lehigh Valley. The theme park plans to open its gates on May 22 for its 138th operating season.

Positions run the gamut from jobs in ride operations to security, aquatics and horticulture to food and beverage, merchandise and finance, as well as in maintenance and entertainment. A limited number of positions require a minimum age of 14, while most seasonal positions are available to workers age 16 and older.
