A widowed mother has spoken of losing her husband Aaron Vidal in a meaningless Sydney road crash on June 2020 and then worrying she could lose their unborn son.

An investigation is underway after a vehicle failed to stop for police in the Sydney CBD.
About 1:30pm today (Thursday 13 May 2021), officers from Sydney City Police Area Command responded to reports of persons acting suspiciously in a carpark in Castlereagh Street, Sydney.
As the officers approached a dark green hatchback the vehicle has reversed causing the officers to take evasive action to avoid being struck. The vehicle has then driven through a boom gate.
A man who was in the nearby vicinity ran from the scene before police could speak with him.

Inquiries continue after dognapping in Sydney
Police have released CCTV as they investigate the theft of a dog from the front of a store in Sydney’s CBD.
About 8.20pm Friday 7 May 2021, a female Pitbull Terrier named ‘Baxter’, aged four, was tied up by her owner outside a store at the intersection of George and Liverpool Streets, Sydney.
When he returned, the dog was missing and officers from Sydney City Police Area Command attended a short time later and commenced an investigation.
Police have been told a man and woman were last seen heading south on George Street with the dog.
