NEW ORLEANS At the corner of Jourdan Avenue and North Roman in the lower ninth ward, there are six shipping containers, which Selina Pritchett says have been there about 10 years.
“It could be anything in there,” said Pritchett. “It’s been here so long that it’s just a part of the community now.”
There are also two across the street. They all showed up as part of the Make it RightFoundation, created in 2007 to help rebuild the neighborhood after Hurricane Katrina. Pritchett never knew what was in them.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The use of a city-owned vehicle is supposed to be for city services. But FOX 8 has found that a New Orleans city council member has been using her city-issued vehicle and provided security detail to run personal errands.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Members of the New Orleans City Council receive a unique perk, use of a city-owned vehicle and a security specialist contracted from the Orleans Parish Sheriffâs Office. A FOX 8 Investigation found two of those security specialists are not allowed to perform security functions.

The streets of Papatoetoe are usually bustling on a Thursday but many residents kept clear yesterday, still fearful of becoming another Covid-19 victim.
Retailers up and down St George St said business was much slower than last week - before Auckland was again thrust into alert level 3 and he rest of the country into level 2.
