(WTHI) - Three women with ties to Terre Haute and Indiana State University are being honored this Black History Month. You can watch an original concert, recognizing their accomplishments and service Monday. A local historian wrote the script and the music is original. The concert will pay tribute to Willa Brown Chappell an aviator and activist, Dr. Cynthia Shepard Perry a united states ambassador.

Black History Month concert at ISU Monday

(WTWO/WAWV) Indiana State University will commemorate Black History Month with a concert Monday evening honoring three famous ISU alumnae, whose stories will come to life through words, music, and pictures. Will You Remember My Name? pays tribute to Willa Brown Chappell, Cynthia Shepard Perry and Late Z. Mae Jimison. It features an original script by local historian Dr. Crystal Mikell Reynolds, music arranged by Dr. Roby George, and performances from actresses and musicians in ISU Wind Orchestra. The concert will be performed at Tilson Hall and stream live via YouTube from 7:30-9 p.m.
