KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Thursday directed the authorities concerned to file comments on a petition filed against a search committee for appointment of vice chancellor at Karachi University within 10 days.
The two-judge bench headed by Justice Mohammad Shafi Siddiqui ruled that its earlier interim restraining order for the search committee not to process the appointment of vice chancellor will continue till March 17.
When the bench took up two petitions filed against the search committee for hearing, an assistant advocate general filed comments on behalf of the search committee and another respondent.

A two-judge bench headed by Justice Mohammad Ali Mazhar also asked the focal person of the Sindh home department and SP-traffic (East) to appear in court on the next hearing along with replies on an application seeking contempt proceedings against them for allegedly violating court orders by blocking roads near NSK.
