1,480 degrees awarded at IoBM’s 23rd convocation Karachi February 1, 2021 Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 23rd convocation of the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi, was held on Saturday in a hybrid format. As the varsity followed guidelines against mass gatherings, a total of 1,480 graduating students watched the ceremony via online streaming. The chief guest of the ceremony was Sindh Governor Imran Ismail while the keynote speaker was Muhammad Ali Tabba, the chief executive officer of tue Lucky Cement Limited. Those who attended the ceremony included IoBM Chancellor Bashir Jan Mohammad, members of the board of governors, IoBM President Talib S Karim, Executive Director Sabina Mohsin, Rector Dr Syed Irfan Hyder, deans, heads of academic departments, members of the convocation committee, and PhD and MPhil graduates and Gold medallists for the year 2020.

The specialised operation theater has been set up at Al Mustafa Medical Centre - a charity hospital run by a local non-governmental organisation. Up to 1,000 surgeries will be performed annually at the facility, according to a statement issued by the TIKA. TIKA coordinator Ibrahim Katirci, Al Mustafa Medical Centre founder Haji Muhammad Hanif Tayyab and Sindh Governor Imran Ismail inaugurated the facility.

Prime Minister chairs review meeting on Ravi City project January 28, 2021 Prime Minister Imran Khan has chaired a review meeting on Ravi Urban Development Authority and Central Business District projects in Islamabad on Thursday. The meeting was attended by Sindh Governor Imran Ismael, Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing Authority Lt General (R) Anwar Ali Hayder, Chairman Ravi Urban Development Authority Rashid Aziz and others. The participants were given a detailed briefing on the latest progress on these projects. It was told that request for proposals from two companies have so far been received for Ravi city project. The project will be equally beneficial for federal as well as provincial governments.
