The spread of the novel coronavirus is under control in Sindh, Minister for Labour, Education and Literacy and Human Resources Saeed Ghani said on Sunday.
In a media briefing in Chanesar Goth, he said that although infections in the province are under control, there s a chance that they will increase because of a rise in cases across the country. Every week, hundreds of people from other provinces come to Sindh, Ghani pointed out. The number of cases is rising in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab will possibly impact the situation here.

KARACHI:
Nearly 300 coronavirus cases emerged in Sindh on Friday when over 10,500 samples were tested for the contagion.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister s House, 298 new infections were detected when the results of 10,519 tests were released.
Besides, the pandemic claimed one more life in the province.
With the recent cases and fatality, the pandemic tally and death toll in the province stood at 260,958 and 4,453 on the day, said Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, adding that 3,127,518 Covid-19 tests have been conducted thus far.
Under 200 new coronavirus infections were detected in the province, where the pandemic claimed six more lives, said Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. The provincial pandemic tally and death toll rose to 260,149 and 4,442, he added.
