The Sindh government has prepared a comprehensive plan to dispose of the remains of the sacrificial animals in a timely and effective manner in the city on the occasion of Eidul Azha.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Sindh Local Government Secretary Syed Najam Ahmad Shah said that in view of the expected rains during Eidul Azha, the local government department had implemented emergency measures under which special operations would be carried out in all the districts.
He explained that the remains of the animals would be collected non-stop by the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board and would later be transferred to the landfill sites allotted for the purpose.

Pak Sarzameen Party Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal said on Saturday that the incompetent Sindh government neither cleared the drains nor made any arrangement for the drainage system in the city.
âClearing incompetence is more crucial than clearing drains. The prejudice of the incompetent and corrupt rulers has turned rain into torment for the residents of Karachi,â said Kamal while speaking to the incharges of the cityâs districts.
Kamal said that drains overflew and rainwater entered many houses.
âEvery year people are dying due to electrocution in rains but the rulers turn a blind eye and a deaf ear over this grim situation because they take Karachiites as forced labourers.â
