Twin towns’ residents object to being made to pay for an hour even for short parking stops; demand better facilities
Citizens in the twin towns claim they are facing several issues due to the recently implemented public payand-park policy on July 1, thanks to the total lack of parking lots generally available in commercial and residential areas for visitors.
They say that parking for just 10-15 minutes also invites a parking fee for a whole hour, with only paper receipts given to them. Now, they believe the civic body is looting them in the name of this scheme.

Despite Pimpri-Chinchwad CP declaring that cops would crack down on offenders, activists say police take no action; top cop blames
PCMC
Once again, it is a tale of lofty intentions and flawed implementation from our authorities. In November 2020, Pimpri-Chinchwad commissioner of police (CP)
Krishna Prakash had cracked down on illegal tree cutting, announcing that a first information report (
FIR) would be lodged by cops in any such case. And yet, till date, whenever green activists or residents have approached cops with this request, they’ve been turned down. In fact, zero FIRs have been filed so far, despite abundant instances of tree cutting.
