James Marshall Banagan, 90, died on July 13, 2021. Known to many by his nickname, Jimmy, he was born in Palmer, Maryland on April 9, 1931. He was the son of the late George Marshall Banagan and Hilda Morris Banagan. He attended Holy Angels School and was a 1948 graduate of St. Mary s Academy. Jimmy joined the Coast Guard in November of 1954 and went in the Coast Guard Reserves in January 1955. He was employed by C & P Telephone Company from 1956 to 1976.
Jimmy married the love of his life, Dot, on September 29, 1956. In 1971, Jimmy and his wife, in partnership with Eddie and Patsy Bailey, opened B & B Maintenance of Maryland Inc. in Bushwood. When he and Dot retired in 1986 the business was passed on to the next generation when they turned it over to her niece Julie Buckler and nephew Greg Payne. HERNDON, VA Harvey Earlton Hanes, who went by his middle name and was commonly referred to as H. Earlton Hanes, was a prominent resident of Herndon, who eventually became a lawyer and a delegate to the Virginia General Assembly, representing Fairfax County.
Hanes was born in Ashburn in 1871 and had several siblings. He was the son of George Washington and Gertrude Hanes. His father was a blacksmith and wheelwright, as well as a former Confederate soldier.

Hanes went to public school in Ashburn up to the seventh grade. He initially worked in his father s blacksmith shop. In the meantime, he also taught himself telegraphy, which helped him earn money. It is with great sadness, the family of John Hamilton Wallace announces his passing after battling COVID-19. Just like all experiences in his life, he approached this challenge with strength and courage but was called home on February 17th, 2021.
John s journey began on January 14th, 1942 in Hamilton, Bermuda to the late Walter Wallace and R. Marie Aleshire Wallace Decline. John and his beloved wife Patricia spent over 58 years together. He was a loving father to his daughter, Heather, and his son-in-law, Michael Garris. Joy filled his life when he became a proud grandfather to his cherished Savannah Marie Garris. He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth M. Wallace Sr. and partner, Joanne Grizzard; Sister-in-law, Joan, and husband, Emery Reistetter; Sister-in-law, Dorothy, and husband, Thomas Vincent. This, in addition to the many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that he loved.

She is loved and remembered by her co-workers and friends from many years working for Navy activities at Patuxent River, MD, Jamesway, St. Mary s Hospital, St. Mary s College, St. Mary s Nursing Home, and C&P Telephone Company. She was always quick to share her knowledge and offer a helping hand to her co-workers, who will remember her quick mind, wit, work ethic, and capabilities in any job she undertook.
