The Tullamore Lions Club is continuing its longstanding support of the Midlands Simon Community.
For many years the Tullamore Lions Club have been valued supporters of Midlands Simon Community. In 2019 though, one specific gesture by the Lions Club became a game-changer for Midlands Simon Community and allowed them to offer a whole new level of support to their Service Users.

County Derry cleric to begin 80-day walking challenge

A County Derry priest will next week begin an ambitious walking challenge to raise money for a local homeless charity.
Fr John Irwin, a retired priest from Dungiven, is aiming to complete a walk every day for 80 days, with the finale coinciding with his 80th birthday on August 4.
Since his ordination in June 1966, Fr Irwin has spent the majority of his ministry within Derry, serving in Banagher, Limavady, Bellaghy and Dungiven, as well as Creggan in the city.

THE Mid-West Simon Community is teaming up with Dunnes Stores branches in the city to allow customers donate food to help those in Limerick.
Dunnes Stores has requested a donations wishlist from the homelessness charity of items to be donated.
These items include non-perishables like porridge pots, Pot Noodles, spaghetti hoops, boil in the bag rice or microwaveable rice, cereal/protein bars, small bottles of drinks; water juice, minerals.
Customers are also being requested to donate household items such as toilet paper, washing powder and washing up liquid. And lastly, they are looking for toiletries to include; shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, dental floss, deodorant, baby wipes and feminine hygiene wipes.
