Virtual work experience for youngsters at Energy Coast UTC

Virtual work experience for youngsters at Energy Coast UTC Students at a Cumbrian school have experienced the world of work remotely as space-age technology helped careers advisers beat COVID-19 restrictions. Year 10 students at the Energy Coast University Technical College, at Lillyhall were unable to physically visit workplaces during their work experience week because of the pandemic. So, instead, college leaders and employer partners brought the world of work into the school via virtual reality headsets, courtesy of Ben Slater, managing director of SME MissionCX, a specialist commissioning service provider, and recently appointed Enterprise Adviser to the school. Enterprise Advisers are senior level professionals coming from different industry sectors and from many backgrounds to work with a school or college’s senior leadership team to develop their skills programme for the benefit of students.

False impressions – The Echo

Fast Buck$, Coorabell I was under the impression that, upon the mayor resigning, the deputy mayor would automatically get the job. Instead we find now that the sitting councillors will decide on a replacement on Thursday 13 May at 9am, public welcome of course. (Watch out for whoever Councillor Hunter supports). This puts a new light on Simon Richardson’s rash mayoral minute kicking me out of the last meeting. The wording he used is malicious and self-serving but I see now that his aim was to engender sympathy for Sarah Ndiaye by painting her as a person who I just pick on because I’m a bully, ratbag, sexist or whatever.

Rous County Council Chair Keith Williams. Photo David Lowe. Since the Dunoon Dam was shelved, Rous County Council has put a new draft of the Future Water Project 2060 on public exhibition. They are currently seeking feedback from people living in the four constituent councils of Richmond Valley, Byron, Ballina and Lismore. In part two of this two part series, The Echo sat down with Rous Chair Keith Williams to dig into the detail, and address some of the controversy around the future of water in the Northern Rivers. Your opponents are currently attacking recycled water using quite inflammatory language. Is this damaging the prospects of success of projects like Perradenya, which some of these  people have previously publicly supported?

Byron Baes cast finally revealed

Press release apology Netflix was forced to apologise to the stars of the show after referring to them as just influencers and hot Instagrammers . Netflix s director of originals in Australia Que Minh Luu confirmed that the cast hated a recent PR post describing the upcoming series. They are artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, business owners, models, on a spiritual journey and more, Que wrote to her 7000 followers. She went on: They understand the power of influence. They are part of Byron. They understand the creative vision of the show that has been developed with them over several months. Most of them hated the press release too! Did a lot of apologising that week. Fired the PR team (lol joking about firing, we re all learning together) Que Minh Luu (@theqza) May 2, 2021
