Motorcyclist dies after crash on Butternut Street, police say

Syracuse, N.Y. A man died after crashing his motorcycle Wednesday on Butternut Street, according to Syracuse police.
The crash was reported at about 4:38 p.m. near the 100 block of Butternut Street, Syracuse police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Malinowski said.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but police do not believe another vehicle was involved in the crash, Malinowski said.
The man was seen sitting in the road following the crash, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches.
The man was taken to Upstate University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

The man who died was John Corona, 61, of Syracuse.
The crash was reported at 4:38 p.m. near the 100 block of Butternut Street between North State Street and Interstate 81.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but police do not believe another vehicle was involved in the crash, police said.
The man was taken to Upstate University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
